It was so thrilling to see my baby make such a huge step and decide to be baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His proud papa did the honours and his Grandma S. played the piano while his Grandpa S. was one of the witnesses.
This wide grin didn't leave his face the entire day.
So what did he think of the whole experience?
"It was great."
"The water was really hot!"
"The water was really hot!"
(He actually did manage to memorize all thirteen Articles of Faith before the big dunk - most with the accompanying song and most requiring the first word as a prompt. We knew you could do it, Little Bear! Thanks to Grandma S. for the idea.)

For some reason I thought we had one more year before he turned 8!!! I'm so sorry we missed it! We are proud of little Walker who is not so little any more!!
Yea! Congratulations Walker!! You've hit a huge mile stone, Beth. Well done.
Awwww he looks so cute in his baptism gear! So fun! You look beautiful Beth.
Walker is such a darling boy! He really was so excited about being baptized. It was so fun to be at the baptism of our oldest grandchild! It was a special, special day.
He is SOO big! Can't believe it!
So looking at your group/family shot at the baptism.. there happens to be a familiar face of a boy who grew up in my ward.. Watkins! Wondering if they are related, or friends?
Collette: You know Dave Watkins? He and his family are friends of ours. Small world!
What a wonderful day for Walker. I know how proud you must feel about his decision to be baptized! What an achievement also to memorized the A of F! What a wonderful little boy, Walker is! "Be true to who you are, and the family name you bear" (Pres. Hinckley), and since Walker bears a family name for his last AND his first name - he is doing a wonderful job of living up to who he is! Big hug for that little man!
