A few weeks ago we explored a little gem called the Oakland Zoo and had a fabulous time. It was kid-friendly and a gorgeous day to spend with Nana and Grandpa who were visiting from Canada.

Walker and Drew with their cousin, Esther, fascinated by the animals. The giraffe to the left was leaning down drinking water from the nasty moat and right after I snapped this photo he started flinging water at the kids. They thought it was hilarious!

With bellies full of burgers and hands covered in animal sediment...the kids were totally tuckered on the ride home.
